The Basics:

My name is Amber, and like every other Amber on the planet, my hair is red. I'm 34 and live with my amazing husband, Steve, my son Callum, and a daughter to be born in March, two cats, Entropy and Saffron and a black lab named Vegas. The cats and Callum expect me to feed them, Vegas expects me to live and die for him, but Steve seems to manage on his own ~grin~

The Personality:

I am a happy person by nature. I can't help it. Of course, I am not always happy, but generally speaking I am. Even when it seems like I'm not, chances are I still am. I do however, vent, a lot. I change my mind constantly, if you're into astrology, that's probably the aquarian in me. I enjoy being busy, and tend to be doing a million things all at once. I am not particularly good at anything in particular, there's usually someone who does it better, but I do dabble in crafty type things like scrapbooking and cross stitch.

I lose EVERYTHING. You name it, I've lost it. I was born absent minded, I will die absent minded. Its a personality trait that if you're in my life, you're going to have to learn to love, because it will never change. Trust me, I've tried, this is just the way it's going to be

I enjoy being outside, and being in Errington we take advantage of the close proximity to the ocean, numerous lakes and parks in the area. I hike, cross-country ski, kinda downhill ski (I'm not very good), backpack, go boating etc. I don't do any of it with over zealous gusto, so no, I'm not one of those granola-types, but I do enjoy the outdoors as much as I can.

The Work:

I'm a Chemical Engineer by training but these days I stay home and take care of my son but hope to get back into the game sooner rather than later.

The Location:

I live in Errington, British Columbia, Canada - a small area located on Vancouver Island. We live on 2.5 acres in a little house that Steve and I own. There's a creek through our property and if you're willing to trek through the forest and down an embankment to see it, it's an enjoyable little spot. Errington is a very "hippy" area of Vancouver Island. It's very country, very quaint. We love it.

The Family

I have a natural younger sister, Fearthainn. She's my polar opposite, yet we still manage to not kill each other, and for many, many years we were room mates, by choice. In my bizarre belief system, I believe that we have several soul mates, and I believe my sister is one of mine. We just have this comfortable space together, like we've known each other a million years. We don't tell each other everything, or spend oodles of time together, yet we know each other best.

What's Left:

What else to say? I believe in God, although I don't have a religion. Mostly because I haven't found one that suits me, and I prefer to sleep in on Sundays. I believe in people, and their ability to do anything, I believe in family and the family you make. I believe that people are basically good, yet stupid. I believe in love, but not love at first sight. I believe that hard work always pays off.
